Welcome!

I’m Pokey Bolton, Founder of Quilting Arts and Cloth Paper Scissors magazines, Founding Host of Quilting Arts TV on PBS, and Founder of Crafting a Life, LLC.

With my experience in publishing, media, events, and craft adventures (by land and sea), I founded Crafting a Life, LLC, in 2015, a media and events company based in Napa, CA.  Our first event called CRAFT NAPA launched in January 2016 in downtown Napa, and our sixth edition takes place virtually January 13-17, 2021.. In January 2017 our first book, Playful Fabric Printing made its debut. You can learn more about that book here. We also run micro-retreats in my art barn, and will resume these retreats once it is safe beyond COVID.
